Chidambaram submits surrender plea: High Court dismisses

It is known to everyone that Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram has been put behind bars in link to the INX Media case. Though he tried to make several attempts to obtain bail from the High Court and Supreme Court, there was no sign of positive response heard on it. Now, from the latest update, it is known that Delhi Court today has dismissed the plea of the Chidambaram that seeks to surrender in the money laundering case.

Currently, the former Finance Minister has been lodged in the Tihar jail in the INX Media case. Special judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar of Delhi High Court has turned down the plea. On to this case, Enforcement Directorate said that Chidambaram’s arrest was really required in connection with INX Media money laundering case. Whereas, on the other hand, Chidambaram’s law team has asserted that ED’s submission is intended to mala fide is purely to make him suffer. The Former Finance Minister is lodging in Tihar jail and currently under judicial custody.
