The police who investigated the case of disappearance of children in Maharashtra found the presence of a gang. It was found that children were kidnapped and sold for lakhs of rupees. The police found that the gang has spread in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. Four children have been traced so far.

In the month of February 2022, a case of disappearance of a boy was registered under Kotwali police station in Parbhani district of Maharashtra. A man named Ahmed Yunus reported his four-year-old son Haider missing. Three more cases of disappearance of children between December 2021 and February 2022 have been registered in the same police station. Efforts made by the police to trace their whereabouts were unsuccessful. So they were put aside. Due to recent pressures from the parents of the children, the investigation was started again on the orders of the District SP.
Police found the abducted children missing from the local Urdu school. The teachers who were studying children were questioned. At that time, a teacher’s sister checked the list of phone calls. They were suspicious and she confessed to the crime when she was interrogated. It was alleged that she had gone to Hyderabad several times to abduct children. She revealed that she met another woman named Sangeeta in Hyderabad in order to abduct small children.
The police received information that a gang had kidnapped the boys in Mumbai and sold them for Rs 3 lakhs in NTR district. The police identified ten accused belonging to Khammam, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and Jaggaiahpet.
