The coronavirus outbreak has had a huge impact on the film industry. Shooting of several films had to be stalled owing to the ongoing global crisis. In fact, by mid-March many makers stalled the shoot of their ongoing projects and that also includes social message oriented movie Acharya in which Megastar Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role in the direction of Koratala Siva. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, the makers of Acharya have decided to cut down the budget of Chiranjeevi starrer.
The reports are coming that the makers of Acharya will be trimming down the budget of this much awaited movie as the production is running in losses. The makers have already completed 40 percent of the shoot and the pending portions is said to be wrapped up in a limited budget. It is expected that the shootings of Acharya will be resumed soon.
Acharya will also have Sonu Sood in a crucial role. Earlier Trisha Krishnan was roped in to play the female lead in the film. However, she walked out of the film citing creative differences. Later, the makers roped Kajal Aggarwal to play the female lead.
After wrapping up the shoot of Acharya, Chiranjeevi will act in Telugu remake of Malayalam film Lucifer.
