Megastar Chiranjeevi, who joined social media site- Twitter on the auspicious day of Ugadi, has been raising awareness with his tweets. Now, Chiranjeevi has announced a donation of Rs 1 Cr for providing relief to the film workers.
Chiranjeevi took to his Twitter and said, “I am donating Rs.1 Cr for providing relief to the Film workers.” Chiranjeevi’ son Mega Power Star has announced a donation of Rs 70 Lakhs.
Earlier in the day, Jana Sena Chief and actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan announced that he will be donating Rs 50 lakh each to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state governments, and Rs 1 Cr towards the Prime Minister relief fund.
Several other celebrities from the film industry are also coming forward to do their bit. Actor Nithiin donated Rs 10 lakh each to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state governments. Garuda Vega star Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha provide essential commodities to a few junior artistes of Telugu Film Industry. Director Anil Ravipudi announced that he will be contributing Rs 5 lakh each to the two Telugu state governments. Trivikram Srinivas announced the donation of Rs 10 Lakhs.
On the work front Chiranjeevi is working for his next film Acharya, which is being helmed by Koratala Siva and bankrolled by Mega Power Star Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela Productions.
