Megastar Chiranjeevi has tested positive for coronavirus and this news is confirmed by the actor himself as he took to his Twitter and confirmed the same. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy star Chiranjeevi said, “Took a test for Coronavirus before resuming ‘Acharya’ shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested +ive. I am currently asymptomatic and quarantining myself at home.” Chiranjeevi also requested everyone who met him in the last five few days to also undergo covid-19 tests.
According to the latest update, Chiranjeevi has no symptoms and is under home quarantine.
Recently Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna met Telangana Chief Minister KCR , said about 10 lakh people in the state depended on the film industry directly or indirectly and they have lost their livelihood due to cancellation of shootings and closure of theatres. On Saturday KCR announced that cinema halls can reopen in view of the ongoing Unlock process, even as he said a film city on par with international standards would be set up on the city outskirts.
Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna also donated Rs 1 Cr and Rs 50 lakh respectively to the Chief Minister Relief Fund towards the recent heavy rains and flood relief works.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi will be seen playing lead role in Koratala’ directorial venture Acharya.
