2020 is completely wasted for Tollywood with coronavirus hasn’t allowed shooting films or releasing the already completed. After the first two months, coronavirus has forced theaters to shut down. With the situation not under control yet, we cannot expect theaters to open at least for another two months.
With the increase in corona cases, shooting will not happen at least by August. So many filmmakers are not targeting their movies anymore in 2020. They are making schedules such that the release of their movies in 2021.
Initially, Pawan’s Vakeel Saab and Chiranjeevi’s Acharya have scheduled their releases for Sankranthi 2021. Vakeel Saab needs 25 working days to complete the shoot out of which Pawan has to allocate 15 working days. So it is extremely easy for Vakeel Saab to release their movie for Sankranthi. Unfortunately, this is not the case for Acharya. This movie has only completed 40 percent of the shoot which means it is going to miss Sankranthi release even if shooting starts by August.
In the mean gap, Naga Chaitanya is planning to release his next movie Love Story for Sankranthi as this film needs only few days to wrap things up.
