It is known that Mega Star Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role in the movie Acharya. There has been numerous rumors around the film since its inception. Right from the start, there has been rumors around the special role in the movie.
It is said that initially Ram Charan will play the role which is an ex naxallite role who is on a mission. However as Ram Charan is busy with RRR and he has to complete that movie first, there is ambiguity on whether he can allocate dates for Acharya.
With Charan busy with RRR, there were fresh rumors on Acharya that Super Star Mahesh will be playing that role. However after few days that were just regarded as rumors. While there is confusion over this, in a recent interview Chiranjeevi has given clarity. “I wonder how Mahesh name popped out in this.
I mean Mahesh respects me a lot. I like him too. He is like my son. But he was never considered for that role. Koratala Shiva wants Charan for that role. But he is busy with RRR. We don’t know whether he can allocate dates for our film. That will purely depend on the understanding between Rajamouli and Koratala Shiva. We have to wait and see. It is not a guest role but reasonably lengthy one” said Chiranjeevi.
