Megastar Chiranjeevi‘s recent successful movie Godfather has almost completed its theatrical run and is getting ready to enter OTT. Directed by Mohan Raja, Godfather is the Telugu remake of the Tamil super hit film Lucifer. Godfather hit the box office by storm with hefty collections during its theatrical run.
Now, the film’s streaming rights were grabbed by the international OTT platform Netflix. And the platform has announced that the film would be available to watch from the 19th of this month. The film was released in theatres on October 5. This means that Godfather is arriving on OTT after six weeks from its theatrical release.
Audiences who have missed the chance of watching it in theatres, can now watch it on Netflix from November 19. Billed to be a political action drama, Godfather features Megastar Chiranjeevi and Lady Superstar Nayanthara in the lead roles and Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan, talented actor Satyadev, director Puri Jagannath and others in prominent roles.
In the film, the supreme leader of the ruling party dies, leaving a huge vacuum, not only in the electoral and leadership sphere of the party but also that of the state. In the inevitable succession squabble the thin line that separates good and bad becomes irrecoverably blurred. Who will succeed him is the film’s plot.
