TDP and YSRCP workers clash- Violent clashes broke out between Telugu Desam Party- TDP and uling party Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party – YSRCP workers on Friday evening during a rally taken as a part of “Idemi Karma Rashtraniki” program conducted by the opposition TDP. Workers pelted stones, hit with the sticks and even set vehicles and TDP office ablaze. However, the police entered the scene and forcibly shifted Julakanti Brahma Reddy from there. Section 144 has been imposed in the Macherla of Palnadu district.
It is being heard that some people set fire to the TDP office. Several people were injured in the attacks and they were rushed to a hospital.
The reports are coming that the Police have arrested TDP leader Julakanti Brahma Reddy. Palanadu Superintendent of police Y Ravi Sankar Reddy revealed that people with criminal histories participated in the Idhemi Karma and deliberately attacked with stones.
According to police, the TDP and YSRCP activists attacked each other with stones and sticks and many were injured in the clash. As per the visuals, the police reached the spot, and dispersed crowd formed following the skirmish.
