Concerning the development of 16,762 roads across 4,396.65 kilometers for which Rs 1,826.22 crore was allocated, the chief minister chaired a meeting with authorities of the municipal administration and urban development bodies at his camp office. He also discussed issues of sanitation and housing.

He guided authorities to develop roads connecting airports, particularly the Gannavaram to Vijayawada and Bhogapuram to Visakhapatnam roads, among other main roads and select roads in towns. He further ordered authorities to fulfil the restructuring of flyovers and railway overbridges at first.

He also mentioned that ensuring good health is the main reason behind hiking the pay of sanitation staff from Rs 12,000 to Rs 18,000 by the government. He is looking forward to the renovation of canals in Vijayawada, besides curbing waste dumping into irrigation canals and holding awareness campaigns. So, AP chief minister Jagan has finally promised to provide proper roads in the state by July 15, taking the information given by civic authorities into consideration.
