Last year there was a strong buzz in the film industry that Baahubali and Ghazi fame Rana Daggubati upcoming mythological film Hiranyakashypa has been shelved. But this project is on and Gunasekhar has decided to reduce the budget of Rana Daggubati starrer Hiranyakashypa. Earlier Suresh Babu decided to produce this film Hiranyakashypa with an extravagant budget of Rs 200 crs under Suresh Productions Banner.
When Gunasekhar and Suresh Babu planned to start the regular shoot of Hiranyakashypa, the coronavirus pandemic struck and the entire country went into the lockdown mode. In this situation, to make a big budget movie is very risky.
The makers are thinking that the distributors may not show interest in Rana Daggubati and Gunasekhar’ combo. Now the reports are coming that Gunasekhar is planning to cut short half of the estimated budget of Rana Daggubati starrer Hiranyakashypa.
Not only this Gunasekhar is planning to wrap up the film is less number of working days. The regular shoot of Hiranyakashypa is expected to go on floors from the second half of this year.
On the otherside, Rana Daggubati is currently busy in his upcoming film Virata Parvam, which is helmed by Venu Udugula and it has Fidaa and Middle Class Abbayi fame Sai Pallavi as leading lady. Apart from this film, Rana is also the part of Aranya.
