Former Union minister and senior Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy passed away today morning at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He is survived by two sons and a daughter. He was 77. He took his last breath in the early hours of Sunday. S Jaipal Reddy had been suffering from pneumonia for some time and had been undergoing treatment at Asian Institute of Gastro-enterology at Gachibowi.
S Jaipal Reddy was recently diagnosed with pneumonia and he was admitted to the hospital, where he died at 1.28 am.
Uttam Kumar Reddy, who heads the Congress in Telangana condoled the death, he took to his twitter and wrote, “Deeply saddened & pained by the sudden demise of one of Telangana’s greatest sons – Shri Jaipal Reddy garu. He was a 4 term MLA, 5 term Lok Sabha MP, 2 term Rajya Sabha MP & a former Union minister. It is a huge personal loss for me & for the @INCIndia family. We will miss him.”
KTR, son of Chief Minister KCR, also condoled the death and tweeted. “My condolences to the family and friends of senior leader and former union minister Shri Jaipal Reddy Garu who passed away earlier today. RIP Sir (sic).
S Jaipal Reddy’ funeral is expected to take place in Hyderabad on Monday.
