Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that the Corona +ive cases in our country have rose to 49,391. These figures just 400 odd away from touching the 50K mark. With 2,958 new Coronavirus cases in 24 hours, the total number of Covid-19 cases in India has reached 49,391. And with 126 more people having lost their lives due to Coronavirus, the death toll at present is 1,694. Our Country India is set to bring back around 250,000 citizens from across the world.
Maharashtra is one of the most affected states in India, now the state has 15,525 corona virus cases, with an addition of 986 on 5th May. Tamil Nadu, which recently witnessed a sudden surge in the number of cases, now has 4,058 Covid-19 cases. Telangana State decided to extend its lockdown till 27th May and the Karnataka government asked Indian Railways to cancel all trains that were to ferry migrant workers to their home town.
With the People seen queuing up outside the liquor and wine shops across states, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh levied 70 and 75 percent additional taxes respectively on the alcohol.
Yesterday, the Telugu States- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have reported 1717 and 1096 Coronavirus cases respectively.
