On Thursday night, Vizag reported its first positive of coronavirus. According to the latest updated, the patient is currently undergoing treatment at the Chest hospital in the city.
A 55 years old man, belongs to Allipuram, had arrived in Visakhapatnam from Saudi Arabia on 12th March 2020. The doctors sent the sample of the patient, for tests a few days ago, and now he is tested positive. This is the first case of coronavirus in Vizag. With the 1st confirmed case from Visakhapatnam, the total case of Covid-19 infected people reached three in Andhra Pradesh. Reports further claim that test results of a few more suspect cases in Visakhapatnam are currently awaited.
Recently AP Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said that there was no need for the people to panic as the government was taking the necessary measures. But he also stated that the people must not neglect the precautions.
The confirmed number of coronavirus positive cases in our country India increased to 194. The Total cases in our country include 32 foreign nationals- 17 from Italy, 7 from Indonesia, 3 from Philippines, 2 from UK, one each belonging to Indonesia, Canada and Singapore.
11 new coronavirus cases have also been reported from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
