On Tuesday, the wife of Microsoft CEO Satya NadellaAnupama Venugopal Nadella announced that she is going to donate Rs 2 Cr. Anupama Venugopal Nadella joined hands to battle the coronavirus outbreak.

Anupama Venugopal Nadella announced the donation of Rs 2 Cr  to help with the supply of essential commodities to the needy people during the lockdown period. A cheque for Rs 2 Cr was handed over to Telangana Chief Minister KCR by Anupama Venugopal Nadella father KR Venugopal who is a former Indian Administrative Service officer.

Telangana lone BJP MLA Raja Singh, has pledged to donate his two months salary of about Rs 5 lakh to the CMRF.   TRS legislators Tandur MLA Rohit Reddy donated one month salary.

Telangana CMO official said that these donations would be used under government initiatives to help the needy people during the lockdown period.

We have already reported that the young actor Nithiin has also handed over a cheque for Rs 10 lakh to Chief Minister KCR recently.

Leaders of Joint Action Committee of State Govt Employees K Ravinder Reddy and Mamata met the Chief Minister and presented a cheque of Rs 48 Cr  which is the one day’s salary of state government employees and teachers.  The donations will be beneficial during lockdowns.
