A lady from West Delhi has passed away of coronavirus. She was 68. This is the second death linked to the global pandemic in the country of India.

A resident of West Delhi, the lady was infected by her son who had contracted the virus after traveling to Switzerland and Italy last month. While initially, her son had not shown any symptoms of infection, but the guy reported to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi on 7th March with a fever and cough.

The lady’s condition worsened on 9th March, with the development of pneumonia. She was shifted to the intensive care unit –ICU and was tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19 on the same day. This has been officially the 2nd Coronavirus linked death in India.

A 76 years old man from Karnataka who was tested positive Coronavirus infected, lost his life a day on Thursday, who is said to have traveled to Dubai between January and February. India’s first death from the coronavirus was confirmed on Thursday.

Around 4,000 people in India had come in contact with infected people of coronavirus and they have been identified. They were being tracked while 42,000 people across India are under community surveillance.

Karnataka and Maharashtra have banned all the gatherings including sports events, Public parks, cinema halls, marriages and conferences as India attempts to slow the spread of the Coronavirus.
