 Plus Points:

·         Naga Chaitanya

·         Casting

·         Performance

 Minus Points:

·         Story

·         Direction

·         Screenplay

·         No Entertainment

Performance: Naga Chaitanya played the role of Shiva in this movie as a challenge in his career. The romantic scene with heroine Kriti Shetty and in action scenes, Naga Chaitanya’ performance is good. Kriti Shetty who played the heroine impressed with her performance. At some places her gestures and her acting are good. Another main attraction of this film  Custody is Arvind Swamy. Arvind Swamy has done full justice to his character by injecting comedy into his crime. Some of the dialogues uttered by Arvind Swamy also exploded. Sarath Kumar’s performance as Police Commissioner Natarajan is good. Also Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Premji Amaren, Premi Vishwanath and the rest of the actors also acted well in their role. Especially Vennela Kishore impressed with his comedy timing. Also, the director Venkat Prabhu has screened some key scenes very well. The chase scenes along with the interval sequence, and the way the characters are designed are good.

Technical: Venkat Prabhu has not fully succeeded in writing an exciting story and making it even more exciting. However, the technical team working on this film has done a good job. The music by Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja is good. SR Kathir’s cinematography is also commendable. He has styled this film without diminishing the beauty anywhere. Srinivasa Chitturi’s production values are very good.

Analysis:  Naga Chaitanya’ performance along with the rest of the star casting is the special attraction of this movie. The story is simple, the screenplay is slow, and the logic-less scenes are the minuses of the movie Custody. Although the main content and point of custody is good but the movie is slow at some places. Also, it would have been better if director Venkat Prabhu had not compromised on the story of the second half. Especially in the second half of the film, even though there is scope to increase the excitement of what will happen next, director Venkat Prabhu did not take full advantage of that opportunity. The director Venkat Prabhu has screened some key scenes very well. The chase scenes along with the interval sequence, and the way the characters are designed are good.
