Cyberbullying is more common than you may think. And for many young adults, teenagers, and social media users, it poses a very real threat. As the technology has developed over the past 20 years, cyberbullying has become an increasingly larger issue. The popularity of smartphones, instant messaging apps, and the rise of social media have opened up an ever-growing number of ways for cyberbullies to hurt their targets. TV host and the actress Sadhika Venugopal is one of the celebrities who have faced severe bullying online and she has raised her voice against in many-a-times. Sadhika Venugopal, who shot to fame with short films, was informed that a fake profile was created on her name on Instagram which regularly posts adult photographs leaving her in a shock.
When a friend of her informed about the morphed pics, Sadhika Venugopal checked for the fake Instagram account created on her name which also has her photograph as the DP. Morphed photographs are posted on the account. After knowing this, she moved the Ernakulam Cyber Crime Police Station against the Instagram account and lodged a complaint.
Cyber Crime Police tracked the IP address and nabbed the person who was said to be behind the page.
Sadhika Venugopal said, “The cyberbullying has become a part of my life now. I wonder what the mental pleasure they get from this.
