According to the latest report, the cyclone Mandous is very likely to maintain its intensity of a severe Cyclonic Storm during next 6 hours and then weaken gradually into a cyclonic storm thereafter. Mandous Cyclone is affecting Andhra Pradesh- AP. According to the IMD forecast, In the past 6 hours, the typhoon is moving in the west-northwest direction at a speed of 12 km per hour. 

It is being said that it will continue to intensify into a severe storm for the next  6 hours and will gradually weaken thereafter. It is likely to cross the coast between Puducherry-Sriharikota near Mahabalipuram between Friday midnight and Saturday morning. Due to this effect, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the South Coast and Rayalaseema on Friday and Saturday.

Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely   in the parts of Tirupati, Chittoor, Nellore,  Anantapur, Annamaiya and Sathya Sai districts. According to the weather department, heavy rains will also occur in Prakasam and Kadapa districts. It is said that gusty winds of 50 kmph will blow in Dakshina Kosta and Rayalaseema districts today and gusty winds of 85 kmph tomorrow.

According to IMD, the Severe cyclonic storm Mandous will weaken around midnight today or in the early hours of 10th December, 2022.
