Usually we experiment with cooking to increase the nutritional value and taste. Combining two or more food items. How good is it? We probably don’t think about how dangerous it is.

These are 7 dangerous and harmful food combinations to avoid

1) Fish and milk: According to Ayurveda the nature of these two foods is different. Milk is cold and fish is hot, which affects blood circulation. Therefore, they should not be consumed together.

2) Eggs and meat:  Don’t eat eggs and meat together as two high protein foods , it’s best to avoid this combination. Both of these foods are high in protein and can make your stomach feel heavy. Also, they take longer to digest. You should eat light protein first and then meat. 

3) Milk and Tulsi leaves: This is something we all use for colds and coughs. But Ayurveda suggests that there should be a gap of at least 30 minutes between these two.

4) Cheese food and cold drink: This combination is very harmful to your health. Do not take any cold drink with cheese meal as both can interfere with digestion. It can cause you stomach ache and discomfort. 

5) Ghee and Honey: Although it is okay to mix ghee and honey in the ratio of 2:1, it is not recommended to use them in equal quantities.

6) Fruits with your meals: Your body can easily digest fruits, but your meals will take longer. Fruit should not be eaten with or after meals.

7) Wine and pudding: Alcohol messes up blood sugar levels and increases insulin production, so then the high amount of sugar in your dessert will be stored as fat and lead to unhealthy weight gain.
