Darbar Collections: The cop based drama Darbar starring in which Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth and Nayantara are playing the lead roles, was released yesterday on 9th January 2020 and received positive response by the movie lovers and critics on its first day. The movie also has Suneil Shetty in the role of villain. Now according to the latest update, Darbar has collected Rs 4.40 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu states – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its opening day.

According to a trade expert, the film Darbar has grossed Rs 2.27 Cr on its first day at the Chennai box office. This is the second time when Rajinikanth starrer has collected more than Rs 2 Cr in Chennai, the record was previously held by Shankar’ directorial venture ‘2.0’ .
Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss, is based on the life of a police officer who takes up the mission to bust a drug racket in Mumbai. Rajinikanth is essaying the role of Aditya Arunachalam. Nivetha Thomas is playing the role of Rajinikanth and Nayantara’s daughter in Darbar.
