These days with lock down being implemented from about 50 days, all the movie releases that were scheduled had to change their plans. At this point of time there is no exact idea of anyone, when will all this be over and normalcy will be restored. Theaters will be opened across the country, when only normalcy is restored and there is no doubt in that. Meanwhile, a lot of movies are waiting for the government to give permission for movie releases.

With no theaters, OTT platforms are making the most use of it. These are getting all the attention. OTT platforms are also luring the producers of different language films to sell the rights with lucrative deals. The latest film in this category is Dhanush‘s Jagame Tandhiram. This film was scheduled for release on May 1st and that didn’t happen.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, this movie is an action thriller which was dubbed in Telugu with the title Jagame Tantram. Like said earlier OTT platforms has offered decent price to release this movie directly in their platforms. However Dhanush has said to reject the offer and asked the producers to call off talks with those platforms. He opines that movie has to be a theatrical experience, no matter what.
