Dhanush starrer Naane Varuven is directed by his brother Selvaraghavan. This is the 5th collaboration between the two, and the duo also share the writing credits of the film. They have previously worked on Thulluvadho Ilamai, Pudhupettai, Kadhal Kondein, and Mayakkam Enna. In this psychological action thriller, Dhanush is playing a dual role. The Tamil film has hit the theaters today on 29 September.
According to the latest report, Naane Varuven’ digital streaming rights are acquired by the leading OTT platform Amazon Prime Video for a solid amount.
Apart from Dhanush, the film Naane Varuven also has Indhuja Ravichandran and Elli AvrRam as the female leads. Prabhu, Yogi Babu, and Shelly Kishore are playing the important rles. With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations.
From the recently released official teaser, it is evident that Naane Varuven is going to be yet another unique cinematic experience from the talented director Selvaraghavan.. But, the audiences, especially the fans of Dhanush are unhappy with the film’s box office clash with Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan.
Dhanush’ last big screen outing was the hit movie Thiruchitrambalam. He was also seen in the Netflix film The Gray Man that marked his Hollywood debut. Next, he has the bilingual film Sir/Vaathi and Captain Miller in the pipeline, which are in the different production stages.
