Maymon Suresh, who is a die-hard fan of Malayalam superstar Mammootty, changed his wedding date to avoid a clash with the release of his favorite actor’s upcoming film “Mamangam”.

Maymon was supposed to get married on 21st November in North Paravur, Kerala. But when he heard the news of his favorite actor Mammootty starrer Mamangam releasing on the same date of his wedding, Maymon decided to prepone his wedding. As he did not want to miss the first-day first show of Mammootty starrer Mamangam, he decided to change his wedding date.

Maymon tied the knot on 30th October, so he could take his newly wedded wife to watch Mamangam on the first day itself.

Mamangam is an upcoming historical period drama, directed by M Padmakumar. Sajeev Pillai was the director in the first schedule but later he was replaced by M Padmakumar. Mamangam is about the Mamankam festival of the 18th century in the banks of the Bharathappuzha at Tirunavaya, in the Malabar region, in which warriors from different parts of the country would arrive to fight against each other. The movie, which is produced by Venu Kunnappilly, described as a history of power, vengeance, and hope. Shankar Ramakrishnan has written the adapted screenplay and dialogues. The recently released teaser said that the film Mamangam is inspired by true stories, and showed the end of a 280-year-old war.

Apart from Mammootty, the film Mamangam also has other stars such as Unni Mukundan, Prachi Tehlan, Siddique, Achuthan, Iniya and Sudev Nair in supporting roles. The film originally shot in Malayalam will be dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi and will be released simultaneously.

In Tollywood, Mammootty was last seen in Yarta, a movie based on former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy’ padayatra, directed by Mahi V Raghav which was a decent hit at the box office.
