COVID-19 has given a huge blow to the film industry. The shoot of the movies have been stopped and the Producers are waiting with bated breath for the lockdown to be lifted completely so that they can start the shoot of their movies and payback their financiers. We have already reported that Tamil actor Vijay Antony promised to reduce his salary and now,director Hari has now announced the reduction of his remuneration.
Director Hari who is directing Suriya starrer upcoming action entertainer Aruva, has announced that he will cut 25 percent of his remuneration for the film.
Director Hari issued a statement that reads, “Kollywood has taken a huge hit due to this Coronavirus pandemic. We are loyal to our producers during this crisis. Keeping this lockdown situation in mind, I have decided to reduce my remuneration by 25 percent for my next movie Aruva.”
Aruva is an action drama, which is produced by Studio Green. D Imman is on the board to score the music for this film which has Suriya in the lead roles. This film Aruva marks the 6th collaboration between Suriya and Hari. Venky Mama fame Raashi Khanna will be seen sharing the screen space with Suriya.
Actor Harish Kalyan, who was last seen in movie Dharala Prabhu, announced that he will let go a part of his remuneration to ease the producer’ burden.
