Coronavirus has affected the lives of one or the other in every possible way. Almost every industry got affected with the deadly virus and slowly one after the other are recovering. While if there is any other industry that is mostly affected it is surely the theater business. From the past eight months theaters are closed and there is no income for the owners whatsoever.

It has impacted the lives of exhibitors and distributors. With people more inclined towards the OTT platforms, there is severe danger for the theater business to run in India.

So, many theaters are closing permanently and are shifting into either godowns or other business purposes. In Hyderabad alone, a total of 15 theaters were shut down and many more are yet to come.

Some of the closed theaters are namely, Sree Mayuri theatre in RTC ‘X’ Roads, Galaxy theatre in Tolichowki, Amba theatre in Mehdipatnam, Sairaja theatre in Musheerabad, Sri Rama theatre in Bahadurpura, Venkatadri theatre in Dilsukhnagar, and Shanti Theater in Narayanaguda.
