Today TDP official spokesperson Divyavani announced that she is quitting the party. The actress and politician made a few TDP leaders responsible for her resignation. According to sources, she was not invited to the TDP Mahanadu recently held at Ongole. And she was hurt for not sending an invitation to her.
Divyavani blamed certain forces in the party for her decision to leave the TDP party. She said, “A few forces are relentlessly working against me in the TDP. I thought it was better to quit the party which did not recognize my services.” According to her, she was sidelined by TDP party leadership at the behest of some vested interests.
Though she did not reveal the names of the leaders who worked against her but stated that she was annoyed at the TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring her hard work since she joined Telugu Desam party.
Divyavani took to her Twitter and announced her resignation and thanked the TDP cadre for supporting her. During the interview, she said that she was not happy with the internal politics within the party. She added that she would hold a press meet and announce reasons for tendering resignation to TDP.
On the otherside, few senior TDP leaders are talking to Divyavani and requesting her to change her mind.
