 Plus Points:

  • Karthi
  • Jyothika
  • Sathyaraj
  • Situational comedy
  • Twist in the second half

Minus points:

  • Low entertainment
  • Karthi’ look

Performance: Once again Karthi has given his top notch performance. He carries the film on his shoulders. His scenes with Jyothika came out really well. Jyothika got less screen space in Donga but she did a decent job. The onscreen chemistry of Karthi and Jyothika as brother and sister worked out very well. Satyaraj is highlighted in his role. Nikhila Vimal in the role of lover, justifies with her role.  rest of the cast of Donga performed accordingly.

Technical: Jeethu Joseph is at his best in technical departments.  Donga has rich production values. The songs and background score by Govind Vasantha, cinematography by R. D. Rajasekhar  are the major attraction on the technical fronts. He captured the natural Ooty locations nicely. Telugu dubbing dialogues are good  Editing  by VS Vinayak i is smooth. Production design is of top-notch quality. The narration is slow that tests the patience of the audiences. Karthi’ look in thief’s role is a bit weird.

Analysis: Karthi and Jyothika starrer Donga manages to entertain with ample suspense and family moments. Sathyaraj too steals the show. The movie Donga has its moments which keep you guessing till the end.
