Kalki starring Dr Rajasekhar has completed the censor formalities and has received ‘U/A’ certificate form the regional censor board. Now after facing all the hurdles, Kalki is gearing up for grand release on 28th June.
The Honest Trailer of the film released today, which has got good response. The film is set in the 1980’s and is inspired by real incidents. The movie is helmed by Awe fame Prasanth Varma and is produced by C Kalyan. Apart from Dr Rajasekhar, Kalki has Adah Sharma, Nanditha Swetha, Poojitha Ponnada and Scarlett Wilson in supporting roles.
Kalki will compete with Aadi starrer Burra Katha and Sree Vishnu starrer Brochevarevarura, which are also releasing on the same day. Rajasekhar who made a stunning comeback after several years with PSV Garuda Vega is pinning lot of hopes on this upcoming film.
Few days ago Dr Rajasekhar’ starrer Kalki was in news headline because of copyright violation. Writer Karthikeya aka Prasad claimed that the story of Kalki is his. On the Kalki issue, BVS Ravi said, “The script submitted by Karthikeya and that of Kalki are different and there are no primary similarities. If, after our intervention, they are still not satisfied, we will take discussions further. In cases where there are similarities, the original writer will be given credit and also paid remuneration (sic).”
