Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Patahak have bought the rights of Drishyam 2 to make a Hindi adaption of the murder thriller. The industry tracker Ramesh Bala confirmed it by sharing a post on Twitter and revealed that Panorama Studios International has acquired the Hindi remake rights of the Malayalam film Drishyam 2 – The Resumption in which Mohanlal played the lead role.
According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will play the lead role in the remake of Drishyam 2 and he will reprise the role of Mohanlal from the original.
Jeethu Joseph, the helmer of Mohanlal starrer Drishyam 2 said that the story of the film resonated with people and he is so happy that Panorama Studios will make it reach to a wider viewers with its Hindi remake.
The sources say that since Ajay Devgn and Tabu had acted together in Hindi Drishyam, and Mangat Pathak had bankrolled it too, they will star in Hindi Drishyam 2 also. There is also no clarity that who will direct the remake after the death of Nishikant Kamat.
It is known news that Drishyam 2 is also being remade in Tollywood in which Venkatesh Daggubati is playing the lead role.
