Tarun appeared before Enforcement Directorate- ED today on Wednesday as part of a money laundering probe in connection with a high end drugs racket that was busted in the Hyderabad city in 2017. Actor Tarun is the tenth person from the Tollywood to appear before the Enforcement Directorate since it started the questioning on 31st August.
The Telugu film maker Puri Jagannadh, actress and producer Charmee Kaur, actress Rakul Preet Singh. Item girl Mumaith Khan, Nandu, Rana Daggubati, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, P Navdeep and Tanish have appeared before the ED for questioning.
The ED officials are likely to question Tarun about financial transactions, whether he knows Calvin Mascarenhas, the prime accused in the drug case and if he ever attended parties held at F Club.
The ED – Enforcement Directorate had last month issued notices to about a dozen people connected to Telugu Film Industry as part of a money laundering probe linked to case related to smuggling of narcotic substances, including LSD and MDMA.
Tarun was among Telugu celebrities questioned by the Special Investigation Team -SIT of the prohibition and excise department in 2017. The actor had denied taking drugs or having links with the accused arrested in the drug case.
