New director Srikanth Odella’s movie ‘Dasara’ stars natural star Nani in the lead role. This movie is being produced on a huge budget. A few days ago, there were reports that the budget for this film was going to be over. Film producer Sudhakar Cherukuri revealed that there is no truth in this news. He revealed that he is producing the film. Meanwhile, it is reported that the business of the movie ‘Dussehra’ has already been completed.
It seems that the OTT deal has also been made at a huge rate due to the good hype of the promotional films of this movie. Popular OTT company Amazon has offered Rs. 30 crores for the digital rights of this movie. Rights belonging to other languages fetched another Rs.10 crores. Satellite rights fetched Rs.20 crores. About Rs.60 crores of business was done with these. Nani’s ‘Shyam Singharai’ movie did only Rs 20 crore in the theatrical business.
The business of the movie ‘Ante Sundrani ki’ was in the range of Rs.30 crores. Nani’s range did not increase much with these movies. They thought that the effect would fall on ‘Dussehra’. But that is not happening. As ‘Dussehra’ is a mass film, it will command a good rate. The total amount of theatrical rights of this movie comes to Rs.40 crores.
It means that this movie has already done a business of Rs.100 crores. A film starring a mid-range hero like Nani, and a new director. Even so, this range of business is special. This movie will be released at the pan-India level.
