Delhi excise policy case involving BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the daughter of  Telangana Chief Minister has taken a new turn with ED filing a caveat against her. The agency has appealed to Supreme Court to refrain from issuing any orders regarding MLC Kavitha’s plea without hearing the Enforcement Directorate’s side of the case.

the Enforcement Directorate – ED has filed caveat petition against Kavitha in Delhi Excise policy case. The ED urged top court to not pass any order on KCR’ daughter plea.  It is known that K Kavitha has filed plea challenging ED summons and the top court will hear the matter on 24th March.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi  leader Kavitha was summoned by the ED to appear before them on 20th March for questioning in the presence ofArun Ramchandra Pillai, and others involved in the Delhi liquor scam. However, K Kavitha has not made any statements about her willingness to appear before agency on the given date. Instead,  Kavitha has informed ED that she will wait until Supreme Court hears her petition on 24th March.

Meanwhile, Kavitha’ advocate, Soma Bharat, has claimed that summons were illegal and that they would wait for apex court’s orders. ED files caveat in SC on K Kavitha’s plea challenging summons against her

Her lawyer had said, “Can a woman be called to the office of ED? it is ‘completely against the law’.
