On 25th August, the Enforcement Directorate summoned Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh and Puri Jagannadh, among others in a four years old Tollywood drug trafficking and consumption case.
It is known that in 2017, 12 actors and directors from Telugu film industry appeared before the Special Investigation Team of Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department in connection with a drug racket. They were questioned by the Special Investigation Team -SIT as part of a high end drug racket.
The special investigation team has indirectly given a clean chit to the celebrities but the case is back in the news now. Rana Daggubati, Puri Jagannadh, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandoo, and Tarun are summoned by ED. Ravi Teja’ driver has also been summoned.
Enforcement Directorate – ED is probing a money laundering case in which Rakul Preet Singh has been asked to appear before the agency on 6th September, Rana Daggubati on 8th September and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja on 9th September. Director Puri Jagannadh has also been called on 31st August. Mumaith Khan has been summoned to present on 15th November. Actress Charmme Kaur has also been summoned by the financial probe agency.
