A massive fire broke out in NTR district of Andhra Pradesh state. The accident took place at Penuganchiprolu Tirupatamma temple in NTR district on Thursday night. Around 20 shops were gutted in this accident. Property damage is estimated to be around Rs 3 lakhs. The Officials say that the accident may have occurred due to an electrical short circuit.
20 shops were gutted in the late night fire. Tirupatamma Pedda Tirunal will be held from 5th of next month. The reports are coming that traders have bought a number of toys, bangles, and puja materials in preparation for the upcoming Thirupathamma Ammavari jatara in their shops. It seems that each of the 20 shops has goods worth Rs 2 to Rs 3 lakh. All these materials were burnt.
The firefighters from Jaggayyapeta were deployed to extinguish the flames. The Tirupatamma temple executive officer, chairman, and Tahsildar inspected the scene. Sarpanch Velpula Padmakumari, Devasthanam officials and people of the village reached the spot in large numbers.
