It is known news that a web series based on yesteryear actress and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa is being made. Baahubali fame Ramya Krishna will be seen reprising the role of Tamilnadu CM Jayalalitha in this upcoming much awaited web series which is titled as Queen.
Today morning the makers took to Twitter to share the first look poster of web series Queen. The first look of Ramya Krishna starrer is powerful and is loaded with vintage vibes.
Coming on the first look poster, Ramya Krishna is seen as Jayalalithaa who is addressing a large number of her partymen. She is seen wearing a white saree with AIADMK party’s flag bordering her saree. The web series Queen is helmed by Tamil filmmaker Gautham Menon and Kidaari director Prasath Murugesan and is bankrolled by Popular digital streaming app MX Player.
The sources close to the film unit revealed that as the makers thought that the Baahubali tag of Ramya Krishnan will help the team to grab the attention of audiences in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, they roped her to essay the role of Jayalalithaa.
Malayalam actor Indrajith, is essaying the role of Jayalalithaa’ mentor and Tamil cinema’s most celebrated Superstar MG Ramachandran. Vamsi is playing the role of Telugu actor Shoban Babu with whom CM Jayalalithaa had a good rapport.
