Bollywood producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani, who is popular for making ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ starring Taapsee Pannu, donated her breast milk during the lockdown. Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani became a mother early this year in the month of February, decided to donate her breast milk during the lockdown period. This news is confirmed by her during an interview.
The producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani revealed, “After nursing my child, I realized that I still had a lot of unused milk leftover. I had read that breast milk does have a shelf life of 3 to 4 months if properly stored in a fridge. I approached my gynecologist, who advised me to approach donation centres which would help me to utilize it to fullest.”
‘Saand Ki Aankh’ producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani added, “When I contacted the gynaecologist, she suggested I donate the milk to a Hospital. Up until that point, I had about 20 packets of 150 ml each in my fridge, but the thought of getting out to donate during lockdown was concerning, for I now had a baby at home. But the hospital was very forthcoming and ensured a zero contact pick up from my house.”
According to Nidhi Parmar, she has donated around 42 litres since May this year and plans to donate the breast milk for at least a year.
