In between the nerve-wracking tensions of Jammu Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah moved the Rajya Sabha to abolish Article 370. Yes, the provision of Art 370 with respect to Jammu and Kashmir has been turned down today. Home Minister has informed the parliament through his ‘Sankalp’ on what today President Ram Nath Kovind has also notified.
As the abrogation has also been signed by the President now, the new rule comes into force immediately. With the abrogation of Art 370, the provision of Art 35A also loses its power. Home Minister has also presented the J&K reorganization bill in the Rajya Sabha. Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir will be bifurcated into Ladakh Union Territory and Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with the legislature.

Today marks the darkest day in Indian democracy. Decision of J&K leadership to reject 2 nation theory in 1947 & align with India has backfired. Unilateral decision of GOI to scrap Article 370 is illegal & unconstitutional which will make India an occupational force in J&K.
