It is known news that Megastar Chiranjeevi will reprise Mohanlal’ character in upcoming Telugu movie, which is remake of Malayalam film Lucifer. Ram Charan is bankrolling this remake under the banner of Konidela Productions. The makers are yet to finalize the crew and cast. However, Chiranjeevi has confirmed that Saaho director Sujeeth will helm this remake. Lucifer remake will go to the sets early next year.
It is being heard that Sujeeth Reddy has been working on this script to make necessary changes to suit the image of Chiranjeevi. Those who have watched the original version of Lucifer, know that movie didn’t feature a romantic track for its lead hero Mohanlal.
The sources say the Sujeeth has developed a flashback story for Chiranjeevi’ character that allows the creation of a female pair in Lucifer remake.
Lucifer, a political thriller, starring Mohanlal in a character called Stephen Nedumpally, was produced by Antony Perumbavoor. The film also starred Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith and Manju Warrier in crucial roles. Sye Raa star Chiranjeevi will reprise Mohanlal’ character in the remake.
Rahman is said to have been signed to play Vivek Oberoi’s character from Malayalam film Lucifer and he will be seen sharing the screen space with Chiranjeevi.
