SS Rajamouli’s next film after the massive success of the Baahubali franchise is RRR in which Mega Power Star Ram Charan Teja and Young Tiger Jr NTR are playing the lead roles. Currently the makers are canning high voltage action sequence in which Ram Charan is participating. Recently it was heard that Rajamouli is planning to bring Ajay Devgn to play a pivotal role in the film. Ajay Devgn attended an interview recently and when he was asked about his role in Rajamouli’s directorial venture, he said, “Forget about being part of #RRR, firstly none from the project have approached me for a role. It is just a rumour.”
Finally Ajay Devgn has clarified that neither anyone approached him, nor he is the part of Rajamouli’s RRR. Now we have to wait and see that which Bollywood hero will join this star cast anyway? The source say that Rajamouli is also considering the name of 2.0 villain and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
The 49-year-old superstar Ajay Devgn had earlier given the voice-overs for the Hindi version of his 2012 Telugu blockbuster Eega titled Makkhi, starring Samantha Akkineni and Nani, which was directed by SS Rajamouli.
Reportedly, Ajay Devgn was also approached to play the main antagonist in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and it apparently did not work out for various reasons.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is busy promoting the upcoming film Total Dhamaal, which also starring , Anil Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Madhuri Dixit Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and others. It is scheduled to hit the theaters on 22nd February.
RRR is a high budget film that is bankrolled by DVV Danayya under his banner DVV Entertainments. MM Keeravani is on the board to render the tune. The budget of this film is reportedly around Rs 300 crore.
