Our country India reported the first confirmed case of the coronavirus infection on 30th January 2020 in Kerala. The affected person had a travel history from Wuhan, China. Telangana Chief Minister KCR said that another case of coronavirus was confirmed in Telangana on Saturday. This is the second COVID-19 case in Telangana State after a Techie who was declared recovered on Friday. The person showed signs of Covid-19 in initial testing and is yet to be confirmed by NIV in Pune.
KCR told the assembly that the patient has a travel history to Italy and has been admitted to the state-run Gandhi hospital in the City. Two more people who had a similar travel history to Italy have been kept under the observation. Their samples with suspected symptoms of the virus have been sent to the National Institute of Virology- NIV, Pune. The doctors are awaiting their test results.
On Friday, Telangana Health Ministry had informed the first case of coronavirus in the state, who has recovered. Soon, the patient will be discharged from the hospital. He is a software engineer and he underwent treatment for the mandatory 14 day period at the hospital.
Chief Minister KCR has convened a meeting with senior officials to discuss the COVID-19 situation.
