We have already reported that South diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been roped in to play a leading lady in Vicky Kaushal starrer The Immortal Ashwatthama, which is helmed by Aditya Dhar. Majili and Rangasthalam lady Samantha has proved her mettle in acting in every film she does, but the web drama family Man 2 web series left her fans spellbound. Now according to the latest update, Aditya Dhar directorial venture Immortal Ashwatthama starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vicky Kaushal is likely to go on floors by February next year.
The sources say that Aditya Dhar wants to introduce the Immortal Ashwatthama from Mahabharata in a superhero format, and he believes that his story can cross national boundaries too. He is very excited and is finally and actually set to take the film on floors by next summer. Though The Immortal Ashwatthama is a big budget project but the direction wants to take it to the next level.
On the otherside, Samantha is gearing up for the release of Gunasekhar’ magnum opus Shaakuntalam which also stars Dev Mohan. She is also shooting for Kushi along with Vijay Deverakonda. She will also be seen in women centric film Yashoda alongside Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan.
