Gali Janardhan Reddy surrenders before Bangalore policeGali Janardhan Reddy, the Karnataka Minister, has surrendered before the Bangalore police today on Saturday. According to the reports, mining baron has surrendered before the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bangalore along with his lawyer in the illegal Ponzi Scam link after being missing for the past 4 days.

For the last 4 days, the police were hunting for Gali Janardhan Reddy, in connection with the fraud committed by Ambidant Marketing Private Limited that had duped its investors. The police claimed that Gali Janardhan Reddy had assured the company’s owner, Syed Ahmed Fareed, of bailing him out in the case investigated by the Enforcement Directorate, in return for 57 kg gold. On Friday, the CCB (central crime branch) officials issued a notice to Gali Janardhan Reddy and Ali Khan (Gali Janardhan Reddy’s close aide)  to appear for interrogation in 48 hours. On the same day, Senior advocate CH Hanumantharaya filed an anticipatory bail petition for Gali Janardhan Reddy in the Sessions Court.

After hearing the argument from Gali Janardhan Reddy’s advocate,  the court has asked the police to file their objection on Monday.

Advocate Hanumantharaya said to the media the allegations on Gali Janardhan Reddy is political conspiracy by 4 people.

According to the police report,  Gali Janardhan Reddy had been absconding since Wednesday, the Bengaluru police formed 4 special teams to nab him. His phone was tracked in AP.

According to Gali Janardhan Reddy, he received notice yesterday.  He refuted the media allegations that he was absconding. He said he was in Bangalore only and added that he has not left to any place. Gali Janardhan Reddy has made it clear that he will co-operate the investigation process of the police in a Ponzi scheme-related case.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Suneel Kumar said that lawful action will be taken against all those involved in this case. The ponzi scam is estimated to be around Rs 500 crore rupees.
