RRR fame Alia Bhatt’s oncoming Bollywood film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi‘ is all set to be released on February 25. Recently, the filmmakers have tied up with Netflix to showcase the film, after at the minimum of 4 weeks of its theatrical release. The team also tied up with ZEE cinema to be it’s satellite companion. For this, the digital rights of the film were also paid by the media officials.
This film is a biographical crime drama, adapted from a chapter of the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, which was written by Hussain Zaidi. The book is about Ganga Harjivandas, a simple girl of Kathiawad. This film’s story tells us how the girl embraces the way of destiny and swings it in her favour, when she doesn’t have any choice.
In this film, Alia Bhatt played a prominent role of Gangubai, who was a madam in the red light area of Kamathipura. The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, produced by Jayantilal Gada together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And the director himself wrote the songs for the film, while music was composed by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara.
