The shoot of Bala’s Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, in which Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv is playing the lead role, has been going at brisk pace.
Announced last November, the shoot began in Kathmandu, Nepal last week
and the team has successfully wrapped up the first schedule after
shooting some important scenes and recently came back to Chennai. Dhruv will be seen playing Vijay Deverakonda’s role of alcoholic medical surgeon. Till date, the makers did not reveal the name of female lead. According to the latest buzz in the film Industry,
Gautami’s daughter Subbalakshmi is said to have bagged the opportunity. The official confirmation is awaited regarding it. Recently Gauthami ended her long-term relationship with Kamal Haasan and there are some rumours that Shruti Hassan is the reason behind it.
Now Gauthami is trying hard to make her daughter Subbulakshmi a heroine.
Some reports also suggest that director has decided to go with Shalini Pandey as she’s already played the female lead in Arjun Reddy. It was also earlier speculated that child artiste-turned-heroine Shriya Sharma would be reprising Shalini Pandey’s role in the original.
Filmmaker Raju Murugan, known for helming films such as Cuckoo and Joker, is penning the dialogues for this film which is being bankrolled by Mukesh Metha under the banner of E4 Entertainment, producers of popular Malayalam films-Ezra and Godha.
