Geetha Govindam clashed with Neevevaro, Anthaku Minchi, Aatagallu and Lakshmi at the box office in its second Friday. The trade experts predicted that the new releases, which forced it out from cinema halls, might take a toll on its collection in the global market in its second week. As predicted by the traders, Geetha Govindam collection was partially affected by the new release on its second Friday, but it was much bigger than the opening day business of the new films. But Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Geetha Govindam went to become the first choice for many viewers.

Geetha Govindam, produced by Bunny Vas under the banner of Geetha Arts 2, has been made with a shoe-string budget of Rs 5 Cr and its theatrical rights were sold for a whopping price of Rs 15 Cr. The movie is presented by Mega Producer Allu Aravind. With Geetha Govindam, Vijay Deverakonda became the only 7th Telugu hero to have a 100 Cr movie in Tollywood.
