TRS party took an early lead as votes were counted today on 4th December in the high-stakes Hyderabad municipal elections, which saw high-voltage and divisive contest. AIMIM’ (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) Asaduddin Owaisi is emerging as second, just ahead of the BJP- Bharitya Janatha Party which mounted an aggressive campaign.
TRS is leading in 70 seats while AIMIM is leading in 45 and BJP in 30. Congress Party has managed a lead in 4 seats. GHMC polls reported an unimpressive 46.55 % voter turnout on Tuesday. The arrangements have been made for the counting that will take place at 30 places with the help of over 8,000 personnel. Counting will be recorded with security cameras which are installed at every table.
According to Peoples Pulse exit poll, the TRS is expected to win near about 68-78 seats, while the AIMIM might win 38-42. However, the Bhartiya Janatha Party is likely to win just 25-35 seats, and a beleaguered Congress may bag only 1-5 seats.
GHMC 2020 results are likely to be known only in the evening or in the night.
TRS MLC K Kavitha said that Congress has died a natural death in Telangana State and the grand old party’s votes have gone to the BJP- Bhartiya Janatha Party, which is the saffron party’s biggest advantage.
