Megastar Chiranjeevi’s movie ‘Godfather‘ was released on October 5 as a grand gift on Vijayadashami. It is known that this movie directed by Mohan Raja is a remake of the Malayalam super hit ‘Lucifer’. Presented by Konidela Surekha, this film was produced with great ambition by RB Chaudhary and NV Prasad under the banners of ‘Konidela Productions’ and ‘Super Good Films.
The film got positive reviews on the first day. The openings were not up to expectations but it didn’t matter. Although this movie seemed okay in the first week, it did not collect much cash in the second week. Due to the effect of ‘Kantara’, this movie could not recover. By the end of 17 days, this movie had collected a share of Rs.57.8 crores only. A share of Rs.34.2 crore should be obtained to break even.
Break-even is difficult. But since ‘Godfather’ has held some theaters for this weekend, there is a possibility of some sparkles.
