Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan have received a threat letter on Sunday. The Mumbai Police has filed an FIR against an unknown person. The investigation regarding this has been started.
The move assumes significance since it comes days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by the members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which had threatened Salman Khan in 2018. According to the police report, Sidhu Moose Wala body had 19 bullet wounds and he died within 15 minutes of being shot.
Lawrence Bishnoi’ death threat to B town actor Salman Khan was linked to the black buck poaching case of 1998, in which the actor was one of the accused. The police said that Salim Khan found the letter on a bench where he sits daily after jogging in the morning. He found the threat letter at around 8 am in his and his son Salman’s name.
Bishnoi is lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail and he is being questioned by the police on the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Salman Khan, who had travelled to Abu Dhabi for the IIFA event, returned to Mumbai on Sunday. Kick actor, along with Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul were the hosts of the event held on Saturday.
It is known that Salman Khan will be seen working with Chiranjeevi in Godfather.
