Gopichand’ previous offering the spy thriller drama Chanakya has turned out commercially flop at the box office and now it is heard that the actor has decided to take zero remuneration for his next upcoming flick, which will be helmed by Sampathi Nandi. Gopichand’ theatrical market tumbled down and his previous offering Chanakya, in which Mehreen Kaur Pirzada and Zareen Khan, played the female leads, was ended up as the biggest disaster in the actor’s career. Now Gopichand is pinning a lot of hopes on his upcoming sport based drama, which will be directed by Sampath Nandi of Racha and Yemaindi Ee Vela fame.
The sources say that the makers decided to slash down the budget after the poor show of Gopichand’ starrer Chanakya. And Gopichand has also decided not to take any remuneration but instead of taking remuneration, he would share the profits of the film after release.
Similar to Sampath Nandi’ earlier films, the yet-to-be-titled venture is expected to be an out and out commercial. Tamannah Bhatia will share the screen space with Gopichand in the film, based on Kabbadi, which will produced by Chitturi Srinivasaa under the banner of SS Screens. The movie will go on the floor in the month of December.
Tamannah will play Kabbadi coach in this film and she will be undergoing rigorous training to get into the skin of the character considering the nature of her role. Tamannah has worked with Sampath Nandi in Bengal Tiger earlier and both shares good rapport.
After the 2017 film Goutham Nanda, Gopichand and Sampath Nandi are coming together again with this film. Goutham Nanda presented macho star Gopichand in a new avatar but failed to woo the audience in the theatres. On the otherside, Tamannah is waiting for the release of her next upcoming flick That is Mahalakshmi, the remake of Hindi film Queen.
